Henry Heald and Company S.A.L. was the agent of the Royal Insurance Company for more than 100 years and the insurance agency formed a major part of our activity until the mid-1970s when the Royal ceased all underwriting activities in Lebanon. Today, we retain a portfolio and offer a variety of insurance-related services:

Brokerage
Working with local insurance companies, we place our portfolio in the Lebanese market, and assist our clients in obtaining the best possible cover and the most favourable terms.

Claims Settling
We settle claims for many insurance companies worldwide, including Royal & Sun Alliance, Nippon Fire, J. Van Breda & Co, Lloyd Italico, Anglo-Belge and W.K. Websters. Our company was claims settling agent of the Institute of London Underwriters (subsequently the IUA) until they gave up their network of agents.

Claims Investigation
As a result of the high incidence of fraudulent insurance claims, our investigation service is in much demand. The most common fields for investigation are medical and motor insurance. Our highly experienced staff meticulously investigates these claims to ascertain whether they are genuine.

Surveying
We have close ties with surveyors in all fields, and arrange every type of survey for insurance purposes.

Medical Assistance
Visitors to Lebanon can apply to us to arrange medical assistance during their stay. This could be an appointment with a doctor or dentist, hospitalisation, or repatriation, and is usually arranged through their travel insurance policies. We also guarantee hospital payments for patients on behalf of foreign insurers.
